Sorry guys, but I have a question about my street cup.i not sure is this a normal sound of the new type water cooling engine?
It only came out when the engine is hot.

Hi Yu-po-Chuan. Try posting in the technical section. It’s more likely to be seen there by people who know. Mark

Hi and welcome, the ticking doesn't sound quite right to me? but that could even be caused simply by vibration (something as simple as a slightly loose radiator guard etc ) Hard to really tell without actually being near the bike! Does the bike start, run, ride and feel ok? (By the way I am no expert) Good Luck

Welcome to the forum Yu, how many miles/kms are on the bike? When was it last serviced?

If the ticking only happens when the engine is hot then again that could well be simply vibration?, as metal parts expand slightly with the heat it can cause things like guards etc to get closer to the frame and/or other engine parts etc causing this, (I quote radiator guard simply because this was the cause of a similar problem with a CB 1300 I owned in the past, but obviously could be anything) it could be an idea to go round the bike when its doing this and holding/touching various parts where noise is coming from, which is how I solved the problem with the aforesaid bike.

It’ll be due for an annual service then. I’d put your concerns to the dealer, he’ll be able to hear the sound much better than we can from a video and at least it’ll be flagged up to them should something be amiss. :)
