Well I have gone and bought a thruxton, massive change for me as I am an out and sportsbike nut. I currently own a 1098s and a gsxr 600, the latter is my race bike that I use in club racing. A life long mate has steered me down the path of cafe racer coolness lol so in for a penny in for a pound! The Thruxton is currently having a custom paint job, Steve McQueen Monaco style and I am waiting on delivery if D and D full race exhaust system and ohlins rear shocks. Reading up on the bike I think the tire will be swapped for something a bit more sticky than the OEM stuff. Will see how she runs and if needed possibly have a stage 1 forks upgrade done and a power commander, but only if I think it needs it. Hi and welcome to the triumph forum I'm also a sports bike nut or was until I got nicked for speeding and fed up being uncomfortable Started doing the rounds at dealers getting test rides on everything and then I rode a 1050 And I knew it was the bike for me sold my blade and waited till the perfect bike turned up Job done Haven't regretted it one bit
