Hi I need some help with some black parts of my bike. The metal parts marked in the picture are getting a little faded/losing its black colour. Is there anything i can use to ''touch-up'' these parts? Regards Henrik
ACF50 brings black metal and plastic parts up a treat. Just rub it on with a workshop rag. Looks like new again
A longer term solution is to clean then treat the parts with a nano or ceramic coating. Something like Diamond Brite or Gtechniq C4. I’ve used the C4 on plastics and even the wheels on my Beemer to great effect, and it lasts ages. Not cheap but a little goes a long way. Finding some IPA for cleaning may be a bit troublesome at the moment though.
I use GT85 on my bikes frame, engine and plastic it does a great job of bringing dull metal and plastic back to life, it’s also cheap and easy to apply.
Or do what we have done for years and wipe all surfaces with an oily rag. Age is something that we can’t stop only control so instead of getting upset just ride the bloody thing !
Thanks for all advices As i live in Norway i cant seem to get a hold of GT85 or ACF50. But i recon that almost any other lubricant containing PTFE would do the same trick?
