Walked the dog this morning in this: So after our breakfast we set off on a ride we still had on our satnav, and which we really enjoyed. We had a nice lunch stop too… Fantastic day for riding!
Brilliant just brilliant. . I bet the both of you just feel so relaxed, riding in stunning scenery as what your in now. Anyhow, stop reading this, and get back out on the bikes, for a great afternoon ride. Enjoy.
@Vulpes: Please come up with more photos. I love to see this great scenary again. Last year on our tour the weather was nearly like yours this year. Don't miss Sella Joch, Grödner Joch, Reschenpass with the church in the Reschensee and if it is not to far for you both, the great Stilfser Joch.
@Markus Sella's round the corner from us - we shan't miss that! Stelvio (Stilfser joch) is a bit too far away. I’ve done that in the past though! Tomorrow Pordoi and Fedaia...
Gorgeous day, off to the high passes! First was the Passo Pordoi (7.346 ft). Absolutely brillant. Next was the Passo Fedaia (6.749 ft). At the pass is a (not very full) dam - very pretty. Mrs. V climbed dow to have a look. Across the dam next for lunch. Then back “home”.
When we got back the mrs. said “why don’t you run up and down the Passo Sella, quench your need for speed”? So off I went, obviously! On the way up. At the top, 7.277 ft: Excellent fun, now for a beer!
Absolutely bloody stunning. What a day's ride that was. Can this be beaten tomorrow ??. Looking forward to tomorrow's installment.
Not many pics today, too busy having fun. First stop: Next on to the passo Rolle (6,526 ft), where there was a photographer lurking in the verge… Lovely route today, back “home” we lit the outdoor woodburning stove and had a lovely fillet of pork. Dog was happy too!
@Vulpes , great photos of your trip and thanks for sharing. I rode down and had a running / biking holiday in The Dolomites a few years ago. What an absolutely stunning region. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and I look forward to seeing some more of your pictures
I love the third picture showing you both in the corner. That has to be one for the wall when you get home❤️
As we missed out on the Passo Campolongo yesterday due to a road closure we decided to try again using a different route. First the Passo Pordoi again… Next via the Passo Campolongo to the Val Gardena. That took us to the Passo Sella again… On the way down to “our” valley we had some lunch… And back home where we were greeted by… A short impression of riding up the Val Gardena.
