I've been looking for a decent pair of medium weight leather gloves for a while. I'm not keen on what's around as the leather always seems cheap and the armour reduces flexibility. After much searching, I found these on www.workgloves.co.uk Deerskin, thermal lines. Lovely. Not waterproof, but dry out easy. £36 delivered. Highly recommended ps I have no financial interest in the company.
I too spent a lot of time looking and eventually went for these (as I wanted the armour protection). They also come in black and there is another with a thermal and waterproof lining. Flexibility remains good too. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/289697
Goldtop do some nice leather gloves without armour, too. I bought the short bobber gloves in both black and brown (https://www.goldtop.co.uk/product-page/short-bobber-gloves-brown)
They're very comfortable too, Aidan - the only downside is that they're a bit too thick to get any real benefit from my heated grips.
I’ve been wearing these Very waterproof Not the warmest gloves I’ve had But ok with heated grips The armour doesn’t look like it’s up to much but I’ve not tested them in a crash Very very cheap though I do like a bargain
Just yesterday I ordered a pair of the gold top cafe racer gloves. Don’t forget the forum 5% discount if you buy from them https://www.goldtop.co.uk/product-page/classic-short-cafe-racer-gloves
