I have a Daytona 600 what tyres would other owners recommend. I have Avon Viper AV 59 & AV60's on. originally it had stock Pirelli Diablos, these had been track day used so not sure how good they were.

the bike is only used on the road and does not see the wet very often. it has Maxton suspension front and back.

would welcome the advice and feedback. Has anyone used Avon ST's (storm) or the Pirelli Stadas.

I had a 2002 Daytona 955i CE (single sided swinging arm) with an Avon Viper on the front and a Storm ST on the back. Worked very well on that, but I am something of an old fart!:p Having said that, there were NO chicken strips anywhere to be seen on the back tyre:grinning::grinning:. Wear rate was good and grip, wet and/or dry, was pretty damn fine!
Not too expensive either - important to a Yorkshireman with short arms and deep pockets!!

    Ran both, in the past.
Pirelli Diablo, decent budget rubber, squared off really quickly, the Pirelli Angel GT much better tyre, imho.
Storms are a decent enough tyre. What I ran are not the same as the current ones tho'.
If your budget can stretch to the GT's, do it. Mileage and wet weather handling good.
