    Just 20 minutes ago here in the midlands it was blowing a gale, taking all the wheelie bins in the street with it, rain was driving into the windows, now its blue sky and sunshine with a gentle breeze!

    We have over fifty words to describe types of rain. Each wetter and more miserable than the last. You would think such terrible weather would dissuade people from visiting, unless they are meteorologically inquisitive - or stupid...

    Nice break here in NJ. 60s and 70s for the last three days. Got out on the Speedmaster and got some fishing in too. Heard the spring peepers (little tree frogs) last night and a couple dandelions have bloomed on the lawn. However, there's always the chance winter will rear it's ugly head again at any time. Worst blizzard we ever had was in April 1977.
