Anyone been to the new Triumph dealership near Deeside, Chester? Just booked a test ride, one at Staffordshire Triumph next month and at Deeside in July.

I have been to both outfits.
Staffordshire Triumph seem to be a friendly bunch of folk. The new Chester Triumph shop has a couple of techs from Bill Smiths in the workshop, so I reckon they should be ok.
I’ve not used either for servicing so cannot comment on whether they are any good. I used Bill Smiths for purchasing my Triumphs and servicing before they lost the triumph franchise. I recently had my Tiger Sport serviced by Ian Mackman (ex Bill Smith service manager), excellent service and a real friendly chap.

He is well worth a call if you live in the North West and need a service.

I dealt with Bill Smiths some years back when they had the Triumph dealership, I saw a really tasty ultra low mileage Street Triple 675 R they had and traded in my very low mileage Speed Triple for it. I was more than happy with the service I received and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I would deal with them again if they had a machine that took my fancy so to speak

Hi Nick, no Ian left there some time ago. The current service manager at Smiths is called Ben. There is no cafe but a free coffee machine is available. The main thing for me is the service, which is excellent :)

Thanks for the pointer Wessa. As I live in Crewe, he is just down the road from me, I'll give him a shout when the the Speed Triple needs the valve clearances doing.

    Hi all,

Over the last couple of weeks I have driven past the triumph dealer in Deeside near Chester, but it is always closed.

Does anyone know what has gone on?

That does not sound good, a few more dealerships have also gone into administration, including a major BMW dealer.
