Received a letter from the local constabulary this morning, warning me of an intention to prosecute. 'Exceed 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order - manned equipment' Apparently clocked at 65mph (dual carriageway). Oh bugger, guilty as charged. Will have to wait & see how nasty they are. Minimum will be 3 points £100 fine or awareness course (£100 fee)
Lucky I was in the car. If I'd been on the bike god knows what might have happened! Oh & by the way you cheeky bugger, clean licence for over 25 years
52 and a bit ........... Jeez., this guy is SO OLD! Though I forgot to admit the one pull in the U.S. that was a bit cheeky as I was barely over the posted speed limit but the cop was clearly anti-biker and wasn't in the mood to be messed about.
I got my first in 1972 in the car near Windsor. Roll forward to 2004 (32 years) and I got pulled three times in 9 months in North Wales - bastard police, twice on the bike and once in the car. Didn't go to Wales for years and not sure why but thankfully none for the past 14 years.... Wessa
got a court case coming up in a few weeks got caught on the a35 near bridport no fixed penalty I have to attend I was on my fireblade at the time been told to expect 4 to 6 week ban. not moaning you get caught just put up with it.
Well...I just cleared my licence and last week received a 37 in a 30 notice...and did the speed awaereness last year,cheaper,no points,but clearly ineffective..so points this time!! If your licence is clean,ask for speed awareness course and keep points off.
