The day I have been dreading has arrived, due to my ill health with Parkinson's disease I had to part with my beloved trike as I'm unable to safely ride anymore, I will stay on the forum if that's ok.
A sad day for you and Betty. Leaving the forum would be out of the question. Who is going to continue posting those delightful pics. All the best for the future.
So sorry to hear that @David Cooper I'm sure it will come to us all eventually but don't even THINK of leaving the forum. You are mainly responsible for one of the best threads on the forum Hope you are still able to carry on with other non-biking activities that make you happy.
David, l had no idea. Truly a sad day, you're such an integral part of this forum but sometimes living in a virtual world causes us to forget that we are all actual people with actual problems. I wish you all the very best and as has been said, l expect you to remain on here and continue to contribute. Cheers, Alan
That's a shame, sorry your bike days are over.... it'll come to us all, I almost gave up after my crash last year.
@David Cooper So sorry mate. I can only repeat what every one else has said. We need and want hear with us. Bloody illnesses destroys every one. Please take care of your self. God Bless you and all yours.
Not my style but I'd have to hand it to you it's a great looking bit of kit hope you manage to stay a bit mobile in some way or another my father had Parkinson's so I can sympathise but doing a bit can be good for the mind as well use it or loose it so they say
Every forum needs a character - you can't leave as you are so respected. You don't need a bike to be a biker. Wishing you all the best..
Can I just say that I'm so sorry on both counts, that one , you have Parkinson's disease, and two, that you've had to say goodbye your trike. As is pretty obvious from all the comments above, your wanted on this forum, you get so many good jokes that make a lot of us laugh. So stick around, you may not be able to sadly ride anymore, but you can still read all the posts from all the great travels that people here get up to. All the very best to you Dave.
I took have Parkinson's and have every sympathy for you, I'm not as bad as you yet but can see it on the horizon, it's a horrible illness and I didn't realise the effects such as shoulder pain and problems moving in bed, got to keep moving and exercise I've been told so all the best for the future
Sorry to hear of your crap illness David, I think it's a rotten way of slowing down and I wish you all the best for the future, please stay active on the forum for your sake, I'm sure it will help in the future. Best wishes for the future .mini.
REALLY sorry to hear of your condition and the restrictions and limitations the condition is putting on your life. Like others I hope that you'll continue to play an active, welcome and very much appreciated part of the forum for a long time to come. If you enjoy the company here then the company will enjoy your part in it! Stay safe.
Sorry to hear about you illness, Mr. C, and that it’s the end of your riding. I’m sure that it’s more invasive than that, of course, and I wish you well in managing your symptoms. Like everyone else I’d very much like it if you’d hang around.
