For my 2 penith I say make sure you see them and not other way round, far too complacent riding assuming all your dayglo colour scheme will ward off evil spirits driving 4 wheels. I don't wear any dayglo, haven't done so for 45 years.
I agree, never assume anything anymore. I SMIDSY in my lane at intersections and got pulled over for it, and the cops ask what the h*ll are you doing (he called for backup). Took a long time to explain, and my smart phone was no help as I could not remember the correct accronym to show them. The terms blood test and impound came up. So bookmark it. As you don't get back tow and impound fees.
