Best ones I got were from Aldi but sadly never seem to have them on sale any more even when they do the bike gear.
Currently using decent hiking socks from TK Max!

Hi you could try cutting your toe nails lol. I got some sealskinz for Christmas, they seem a good quality sock and are wind and waterproof. Don't know about the durability yet but are definitely waterproof.

I bought a pair of merino wool thick hiking socks because they were on clearance sale at a local chain store. My feet never felt sooooo good. After a day of wearing them I got on the stores national website and bought 7 more pairs. That was 14 months ago, they still are awesome, wick moisture very well, and never stink and are antibacterial. They were about $6.00 per pair but worth every cent. Even comfortable in the summer.

These are the ones I bought, and are one of best comfort investments I ever made. Pure heaven to wear, even 3 days in a row.

I find what boots/shoes I am wearing determines what socks I use. Socks to me are the "final adjustment" when making my footwear comfortable. If your footwear is too tight, too loose, too hot or cold, your whole body will know it. ...J.D.

Big fan of the Oxford Coolmax here. Found them to be very durable and strangely warm in winter, cool in summer.

My Moto GP socks lasted 9 years without a hole! Bought a new pair last year after the original pair lost their elasticity.

Your not this guy, are you ???

Original post was last Tuesday, i had to try out the claim that merino sheep wool is antibacterial. So been wearing those same socks for 5 days and nights straight now. Sweated in them many days, and with spray on over the counter cheap treatments every other day for the severe athletes foot which I had prior to this test starting, I will declare the the athletes foot is almost cured, and may go for another 5 days in the same socks. I have no vested interest in merino wool, or anything else that can be associated with this post.
