This weekend I am hopefully gonna get a new chain and sprocket set for the bike. Is there any pro's (or cons) to lowering the gearing ? I haven't done more than 80mph since I started riding the Triumph, so I have no desire to go any quicker to be honest, so I thought I may as well use what little power there is a little lower down the rev range.
    Anyone changed theirs ?

Yup, changed drive sprocket to 19 tooth, seems a lot of people do this to prevent looking for that 6th gear as much, I ride much like you on my 09 Bonnie. available from TEC bike parts as well as other places.

If in the UK B&C Express are cheap and quick.

Take care if changing the gearing if you run an O ring type chain. Make sure you can get adjustment
without the need for a single link cos they aint available for that chain. If you want advice on chain
and the benefits of a good non O ring chain e-mail me as I dont want to upset admin.
