Typical, I bet half the "locals" and councillors aren't actually local

Stratford has a large bikes only park about 200m away and I've never seen it full, so no great loss. Many other towns could take a look at that and improve their own infrastructure for us.

Stratford, a few years ago I had parked my then VFR800 on a wide paved area outside the Royal Shakespeare Company building, briefly while we consulted maps etc ( remember them?)
I started the engine whilst we fastened up our coats and replaced our helmets, suddenly a first floor window was thrown open and a very animated female head appeared through it, we were then subjected a tirade of verbal abuse concerning noise and pollution etc.
This was a totally standard VFR at tickover, quiet as the proverbial church mouse.
We obviously had to check each others helmet straps for optimum fitting, etc, etc, so instead of being there for a couple of minutes ...........
Never been back there since, as it happens

Who cares. It is their town and the loss of the revenue may just change their minds. There are other great places that will welcome bikes and appreciate the money we spend.

Stratford used to get a bit erm ... mobbed when the Bulldog Bash was only down the road. Memories, memories, for them as well no doubt
