Bit of advice needed

I have a Triumph Trophy and the panniers have some scratches on them where the previous owners pillion passenger has scraped them with his/her boots getting on and off the bike..they are probably a bit too deep to perhaps use a touch up pen so I was thinking of covering them with striping similar to tank protectors...can anyone advise if there is something available I can buy to do such a job (hope that all makes sense) picture attached shows what the scratches are like

 

I'd try a touch-up pen in the correct colour before anything else. Give it 2 or 3 coats to build the level of paint.
