Tried to explain to the wife that I dont have to have a destination to ride the bike, just ride and see where I end. She doesnt think I can enjoy riding when its raining.
The jouney is the destination, sounds a bit philosofical......

Yep I find its the ride that's the fun part, doesn't matter where it is so much. Using the bike to commute isn't as fun

Me too - I'm not a great fan of aimlessly riding around but each to their own, I guess!

Having been on several 3000mile+ trips, my wife now wants us to do a cruise or dare I say it 'coach trip'
She's under the impression that I can't enjoy 'driving' all that distance, it must be after all not much of a holiday for me.

How little does she know, the riding for me is the holiday, being on the road. The destinations are just the end to each day.
I'd rather spend 30days on the road than 1/10th the time on a cruise or coach.
