Need help, bought 2012 Thunderbird 1600 ran great up until this weekend. After a good long ride, headed home, gassed up to fill the tank. not 5 minutes later started to sputter and died on the road, towed it home. After much diagnosing, we feel that it is a fuel issue. The fuel is getting up to the fuel injectors ( we ulled them), but not passing through them, so no fuel is served to the motor. Cranks well, everything works, 65psi from tank. Thinking it could have something to do with 1 or both Fuel injectors, or problem with the ECU/ ECM? Asking before I take it to the local dealer here in Victoria BC Canada.

@Karlum Yes bit of a problem. You sure the fuel you topped up with was clean with no water.

Don't laugh but over Xmas while distracted by daughters and babies I mistakenly poured 5 litres of diesel into my St Twin. Stopped it dead.
I swore blind that I had filled a can with E5 Super at the pump.

@Kreb Take it you are all sorted now. But would be different to see a diesel Triumph.

Yes thanks Joe, after much head scratching got a great mobile bike mechanic from Darlington to sort it. Funny thing, it didn't smell like diesel because it was mixed with 5 L petrol already in the tank.

@Kreb Glad you are sorted and i am sure many of us have done similar. My better half did the opposite with her car. She phoned me when she realised i just told her to completely with petrol and all was good car did splutter every now and then but was good after a week or so.
