as title I'm looking for opinions on bike driers i did look at several on different sites, why the hell are they so expensive decent reviews on some prices starting at about a hundred pounds plus, seems very expensive for what they are i do dry the body work and use fs365 and also use decent quality shampoo.

Bare in mind we are just talking about blown air dryers - get the most power for the least amount of money.

Get out for a ride on it.
    That usually does the trick.
Wash, polish, back in garage
They're meant to be ridden :)

A classic example of some clever marketing.

    You can imagine the conversation............

These biker types, they're so precious about their bikes, nothing is too good for them. We can get hold of some cheap blowers, re-badge as a bike drier and sell them at a huge mark up.

They'll sit very nicely with the simple detergents and cleaning materials in fancy bottle that we charge them a small fortune for.

Bear in mind, that good dryers will filter the airflow. Leaf blowers may not and will possibly be blowing grit at your motorcycle.

Grab yourself one of these, it'll dry your bike and have another 101 uses.
I picked up one earlier this year with a bevy of air tools on offer under £100.

That's a bit scary TBB! I remembered there was a thread regarding bike driers and I logged on to see what the members' opinion was on an SGS compressor instead of a specific bike "hair drier" or dog blower. And blow me [not the dog], here's your endorsement straight away. Unfortunately, the 50 litre jobbie with accessories has crept up to £140 but the 24 litre one [with the same compressor spec and all the tools I'm likely to need] is £99.98. I'm guessing that'll have the same amount of blow but for shorter periods between compressor restarts. Have you found no issues of the blown air being damp TBB? As you say, there's 101 other uses for a compressor too.

    Cheers, Steve

I completely agree with you about the fast ride to blow excess water off but if the bike's got filthy on a wet ride, another wet ride after cleaning isn't going to help. I'm guessing you don't have too many wet rides in Arizona! I particularly like the idea of a compressor as it has so many other uses. Getting water out of/getting ACF50 into the multiple nooks on a bike. Respraying the tank when I fancy a colour change. Whatever really. Plus, is it ever even possible to have too much "stuff" at your disposal in the garage?
