When this thread is over, we need a poll, how many people got the horn after reading this thread.

I now have two horns! Fitted these today, supposed to be 300db! Yeah, right. Nothing like that but still waaayyy louder than the meep meep original. We'll see if exhaust heat is a problem but I don't think it will be. Will have a trial run tomorrow (lock down shopping of course) to give someone the horn.

Just upgraded my horn for the second time and this time opted for the full monty Denali Sound Bomb. It's rated at 120db and I can believe it! The previous "Snail" horns I fitted were supposed to be 300db which is absolute cobblers when you compare the two, more like 80-90db I reckon. I went for the split sound bomb with separate compressor and horn to make fitting easier. Thinking of getting one for the Z.

On a related front I hear moves are afoot to alter the law to give pedestrians and cyclists right of way which will mean you MUST stop at a crossing to let them cross but more importantly if a pedestrian steps out on you and you hit them you will be assumed to be at fault so watch out for the idiots walking round town with their ear phones in completely oblivious to anyone and anything else. Enter the Sound Bomb! :joy:

I'm also in search of some suggestions. I need to upgrade my horn in the car.

No idea if it'll fit but the horn on my '19 Goldwing is loud. Gonna do a little looking to see if I think it might fit!

When it comes to swapping out your Street Scrambler's horn for something better, I'd recommend giving the Ryobi horn a look. I've personally tried it, and it did the job for me.

It's not fancy or complicated, which I appreciate. Installing it was a breeze, and I didn't need any special tools or skills.

One thing that stood out was its volume. This horn is loud, no doubt about it. It grabs the attention of other road users, which is essential for safety.
