Featured Beat The Fog Ride

The TRMCC short ride was planned and a good turnout arrived at Grind on Takapuna to thick fog.
After coffee and B&E pie, we replanned to avoid the danger of zero visibility Quick motorway ride north to join highway 16 saw sun and clear roads.

 

Highway 16 was sealed 12 months ago, but the trucks have destroyed it again making a farce of the term comfort seat
Little traffic made for a steady pace with a quick stop in Wellsford at Junction cafe. Sadly that was closed, so some of us went for a brew while others continued north to enjoy the first good day without rain for weeks.

 

After a comfort stop we were back along HW16 to the far west, of Helensville, to join the northwestern motorway back home.
Stopped for a brew at the boat club to enjoy the sun, while it lasts
