Hello All, John from California, thought i would post my latest barn find, been riding since 1972 on dirt bikes and street Harley's and BMW, found a 1970 Bonneville in pretty good shape one owner with only 1227 miles and no rust on the bike, need to go over the bike and get it to running shape, last time the bike ran was in 1997.

Welcome in John, looks as if you just need to change the oil and put fuel in it ! That's a find for sure !

Amazing find in that condition and low miles, do you plan to keep it original.

Nice one, John (aka Mr. Luckybugger)!
May I suggest, before you start riding it regularly, that you change all the oils and use a fuel system cleaner in the fuel for a few tankfuls to clean out the carbs - I'm assuming your petrol (gas) is similar to the crap stuff we have over here. Also, just to be on the safe side, check and/or replace the tyres and brake linings. All they have been doing for the last 21 years is rotting and perishing and by now should be about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
    Enjoy!
