Here you go. Use this stuff. About a 1/4 stick should do… on each side w/double sided tape. You can usually find functioning clackers on eBay and 2O gauge wire should do the trick.

If the badge is big and the glue cannot be melted in the middle, the dental floss may break.
    I'll use a guitar string then (small E 009" or B 013"string).

Thanks! Glad I saw this in time. I was just about to try using a rusty railroad spike and a small sledgehammer.

I’m sure you searched for options, but most suggest heat and a sharp edge.
I’m a big fan of tee tree oil for adhesive removal :p

I would bet that @Fork Lock has tried shouting at it, PatW, based on his previous post about sawing on the thing for half an hour. :( I might even hazard a guess at what words were shouted. ;)

Any response from the painter yet, Fork Lock??

Bonneville tank badges from 2016 and later are attached with screws. The screws are hidden under the 'Triumph' name which is a sticker.

To all those who suggested or demonstrated (via parts diagram) that screws were holding the emblems on - Right you are!!!

    Thank you!

Who'd have believed that in this day and age something had been done the proper way, rather than just slapping the emblems on with some adhesive?!

Impressed with Triumph's attention to detail!

Apparently Carlos the jackal cut through prison bars using dental floss, so you would have got through...eventually...probably

When I peeled off the E5 & E10 stickers on my Z900RS, the remaining glue was easily removed with liquid Turtle Wax and a piece of old t-shirt. Not saying it will work on all adhesives but just thought I'd throw this in.
