    image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I'm now a 2 Triumph owner!
I've owned a 955i for a few years, and love it in an old school way.
    However.....
Took the plunge as an early adopter in October last year, and placed a holding deposit on a Thruxton R. Just the released images were enough to ease £200 from my account. The early press reports were sounding positive, so my anticipation was rising in early 2016.
A brief test ride was enough to convince me this would be one smile inducing bike. Not only the looks, but a great ride. Immediately sold my Blackbird!

I took delivery in May as a standard R, with the track racer kit to be fitted when available at the first service. Running in standard form I really enjoyed it.
Fairing and kit now fitted, service complete, so now time to enjoy the summer (ok it's raining now, but technically it's summer)
I know you know what they look like, but here are pics of my R and the "old girl"

    Welcome in pal...

Owned that model 955 myself, until some ne'er-do-well swiped it.

The thruccy is a beaut. Best colour of that variant. In my opinion of course.

Lovely bikes Grey, I have resigned myself to the fact that everyone and their uncle is going to get the R before me, but I have a cunning plan!!!

Yes mate it's true! Signed the final sale docs for the old house on Friday, all last week involved in the house moving except for weds morning when I nipped off to a Triumph dealer to try a 2nd hand Triumph - all was very good except for the blokes attitude about negotiating on the price, not a penny off !!!! Sorry but that just won't work for me ;);)

All being well will be trying another one next week, just waiting to hear back from the seller.

Thanks for the welcome chaps, I'll be hanging around picking up the combined wisdom of the group, as we learn more of this great bike.

First question, has anyone fitted a duel seat and pegs yet? Any photos?

Wondered why there'd been fewer posts lately, I'd like a Thruxton r while you're in the mood!

It'll be a Triumph Tiger 955i - 2004 to 2007 and preferably blue or orange, with as low a mileage as I can afford.
