I use one for model painting, with anything like this it is practice, practice, practice to get good results. Both in technique and the correct thinning of the paint. The one I bought was from Amazon and came with it's own compressor, it was not the cheapest but nowhere near a professional one and seems to work OK
Not hard to use i have used one for years both for doing artsy fartsy stuff and painting models and for touch ups when i used to do custom paint finishes its really just a case of getting the paint to the right consistency (thinning) for spraying the trouble is you may need more than one coat for touch ups and most modern paint has clear over it so a bit of a faf, you can pick up a compressor and air brush from eBay for about £50.
I Don’t use airbrush’s although go have a look at spraygunsdirect.co.uk based in Derbyshire. Probably the biggest uk shop online. My smallest gun I use is an ANI but anything under £50 is usually flintstones tackle
