What a lovely little adventure for you and Mrs V, @Vulpes! Looks like you had a fantastic time with great food, scenery, and weather. May Mr. Sandi and I join you two sometime? It seems that you ascribe to one of our motorcycle mottos--"Live to ride. Ride to eat." Glad to hear that Mrs V continues to ride and to gain experience. Hopefully she's enjoying riding her Street Triple more and more with those miles.

 

Always welcome to join us @Sandi T - yep, pretty much the same mindset! On the journey there and back I plotted in 50 miles of motorway each way, the remainder of the route on secundairy roads. The difference in confidence on the return journey was noticable!. After our ride out on Saturday (140 miles of secundairy- and backroads) the mrs. was pretty tired mentally - but getting more confident with each mile.

 

@Vulpes: The more experience and miles she and you cover together, the easier it gets. It's all just a matter of "training".
