Good morning I have now got another Triumph. I picked up a 955i Speed Triple that has had a hard life. I have had a couple of Sprint STs over the years.

The wiring is totally shagged on this bike as the previous owner tried to 'disconnect' alarm, thinking mistakenly that that was the electrical problem - it was the battery! I have sourced a hopefully good used loom from a German breakers on flea bay. I have a 955i factory manual from my Sprint days, but sadly it's for later models grrr. The previous owner did give the a Haynes manual, which has lots of wiring diagrams in glorious technicolour! Sadly one seem to have the same wire colours as the bits of the loom that matey butchered.

If nothing else it will give me something other than Big Zeds to write about in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine :)

Hi Ralph, welcome to the forum, from sunny North Wales. Can we assume your wiring is faulty?
