Hi everybody, I'm very new here. Thought this would be the best place to get some advice and learn a few things about my bike.

I'm picking up a low mileage 2023 street triple soon, I just wanted an idea of all the do's and dont's for this bike, any weird quirks, anything I need to be concerned about etc.

Looking forward to hearing from the group

Welcome to the forum. You don’t say which model, however you will love it. When I got mine I expected it to be a bit revy but found that the spread of the power band is surprisingly wide. Ditto on engine braking.

The only advice I have for you is to use the clutch between 1st & 2nd, both up and down as the difference in the two ratios is so great that you will not get as smooth a change using the shift assist as you will for the rest of the gears.

Welcome @Justin_dunn46 to the family, street triples are a great choice.
I've had my gen 1 2019 now 15k miles and 6 years and still love it.

Scorpion exhausts, red power, give it a nice noise but nothing silly, avoid SC Project as they are just obnoxious!

I run Michelin pilot powers and get good road manners and mileage.

Front brake discs seem to be a weakness and mine warped by 12k so not really painting Brembo in a good light.

    Hi there,

I to have a 23 plate Street triple R (white) Not sure what you’ve had in the past but you will love it. I’m an older rider and find it gives me more than I need, quick shifter up n down is wicked. My biggest bug bare was the fully welded exhaust system (which I knew before I bought it) just needed a bit more noise so after a couple of years I got a Zard system. Customise as you want lots of options, just enjoy & be safe….

Hi, and welcome to the friendly forum, a great choice of bike, no real faults with the 23 machines, apart from some people have had issues with the Quickshifter/Blipper, but this is easily sorted, unlike the latest models that are plagued with faults. There are a plethora of quality after-market goodies for these machines should you want to indulge yourself.
