Hi all new to the forum so please be kind, my newly acquired 3TA goes up onto its centre stand nice and easy however it appears to go too far with the rear wheel still resting on the floor? Making chain adjustment difficult is there supposed to be a stop? and if so is it part of the frame or the stand?.

Hopefully somebody with greater knowledge will know the answer.

    Thanks Chris

Could be a combination of many things including incorrect or worn parts.

Easy fix is to have some pads welded to the bottom of the center stand to raise the tires off the ground. Triumph welded some loops to accomplish this.

They did sit quite far forward on the 3 and 500's. Made them easier to pull on to the centre stand. And could be a bit of ware on the stand and the frame lugs. To add to the bottom of the stand will make it a little harder to pull on to the stand. To add to the frame will make the stand sit a little lower choice is yours. Best way i do with my t100 is i have a little bit of wood panelling and i just pull it on to that works a treat. Would be handy if you could take a couple of pictures so we can see just how it is.
    Regards
    Joe.
