Thanks for the distraction, Judd. ;) This is an interesting thing to vote on as it's what we think "defines what it is to be a Triumph motorcycle" which is not necessarily which model we would choose to own. I have a hypothesis on the voting outcome but it will certainly be interesting to follow the vote count to see what my fellow forum "countrymen/women" think. :)

It's such a difficult question and the answer probably lies in a better knowledge of Triumph and its history than I possess.

So I'll say the Street Triple because I've got one, love it, and nobody cares what I think anyway. :D

Trident, tempted to go Bonneville but it was developed with bsa and released in the year of my birth. And when Trumpets got going again, the triple engine inspiration spawned fantastic bikes like tigers, speedies and sprints... I don’t normally do gratuitous test rides, but I will on the new Trident!

I have to say Bonneville. I base that on the fact that it's probably the only one besides the Rocket I would recognize if it didn't say "Triumph" on it. The Rocket, to me, doesn't have the heritage needed to be an icon. Don't flame me, Rocket-men, just my opinion.

If I had to choose just one it would be my T100. My favourite bike by a mile at the moment.

I voted bonniville because imo it is the only iconic name that many non triumph owners would recognise.....

1947 Speed Twin. Teledraulic forks; rigid rear end; instruments (including the inspection light!) in Amaranth over chrome petrol tank. And the first twin I ever rode.

I want a bike I Ride ! Not one that gives a ride the Authorities approved.
I like Triumph , but not the way they are heading...!

I grew up with Bonnevilles as the Triumph standard, but everyone wanted the Thunderbird 900 triple.
For many kiwis it would be the iconic yellow Daytona

Would have to be the Bonneville as its what their best known for. If you'd have said 'best' bike, hands down the street triple!
