Hello I am new to the forum here as others Ive visited do not seem to have a whole lot on 2016.
Question about the rider modes, I cannot seem to tell the difference from Road to Sport to Track and even Rider. I just had my first service and noticed the shift lights still come on at 4k so I am wondering if I need to take it back to Triumph and have them not only set the shift lights to redline (I believe the manual indicates how) but check my ride by wire modes as they seem to deliver power the same in all modes. Would the modes need reset after the 600 mile service or should you notice a difference even before the service? Thanks

From the little info I am aware of the mode affect not just the power but the ABS and traction control too

Rain = Safest, highest sensitivity for ABS & Traction with power reduces to a smoother more controlled delivery
Road = A standard setting, still quite sensitive but allows for a standard rider taking it easy and playing safe
Sport = Reduced sensitivity on ABS and traction, quicker power delivery but still with an element of safety
Track = OMG PWNAGE on the track go go go....relase the beast mode
Rider = The rider arranges the settings for a tailored ride, if you like no traction control but some ABS or the other way round just in case there is that patch of deisel, you can sort it here

I am not sure, but does the 2016 come with leaning traction control so you can drift the bike on the bends without lowsiding it?

The power difference in the separate modes is not really that noticeable but the action of the throttle, it's more of a faster acting throttle. I just leave it in sport, the blue lights are adjustable (look in handbook) i have my lights come on at 9000 :)

Your blue rev lights are adjustable by you, read handbook to do this. Personally I don't like flashing lights (especially blue ones lol) I find them distracting, change them to come on at red line or turn them off.
I find the rider modes don't make that much diffrent unless your ragging it, it's more about the abs and traction control.

I still have my blue light set at 9000 as i have not got used to the lower revs of the Triumph yet and most of the time it stops me hitting the rev limiter, otherwise i just sit there bouncing of the limiter like a twat

anyone know how to stop my rider mode from defaulting to Road each time I fillup for petrol then put key back in and turn the bike on? Seems to forget I was in Sport when I turn bike on and off.

I don't think you can stop this from happening. Anyway it doesn't take more than a few seconds to get back to rider

Reset to road only happens if you last used track or rider, can't be changed. if left in sport it stays there :)
