Hi lads, got a conundrum for ya....I’m after a centre stand for my America. Bike was registered January 2012 but the reg is 2011 that I understand cos it was before the newer plate came in,.....but...I emailed TECbikebits saying my bike is a 2012 model but would’ve been built before as in 2011 or even before that! He said if its a 2012 model our centre stands wont fit, it’s only up to 2011.......?
Forgive me if I come across abit thick...but...surely it would fit? Wouldn’t it?

Or even if the same centre stand fits both years?

Just phoned my local Triumph, gave em the last six numbers of the vin all they said was ‘yes its a 2012’??? They didn’t have any info of when it was manufactured!
I’ll take a punt with a 2011 stand for the America.
    Thanks guys.

What was the modification tho? I've seen a few vids on utube about the brake line in the way....just needing a push n a nudge lol, not seen any that need a major mod tho?
I’ll do some digging before I commit myself, thanks for the headsup tho DD.
I’venseen about half a dozen of different designs so its just gonna be getting the right one??

The TEC stand fits and works good :)
Pretty good quality as well :)
But I had to grind some of the powder coating off as well  and after fitting I removed it and grinded some more off because I thought it was too vertical when it was on the stand
George at TEC told me that might be the case and it might get mentioned in the fitting instructions
The America and Speedmaster are pretty heavy and low down so are not the easiest to get on the stand :(
Make sure that whatever you get you get the grab handle as well :)
