Hey there everyone, my Speed Triple 1200RR is still in the break-in period, and even though the engine temps are quite normal, the headers especially on the left side glow red when idling. Even though I believe the emission regulations make the bikes run lean, I don’t know if this is to be expected and normal. Any experiences?

No way should any header be getting that hot unless the engine's running flat out.

It's common and quite normal, my BMW gs used to do it ...particularly noticeable on warm dark nights.
As you say modern bikes run very lean and hot and that combined with the very thin metal of the headers causes this issue
