Me too. watched on Show Box.
Brilliant. Horrific battle scenes makes you realise what the pacific war was like, but still probably nowhere near as bad as reality.

Well I watched it.. and to be honest. It wasn't great. Felt like a low budget film. A good story line but the film seemed a bit lame. And a bit far fetched in places. 5 out of 10 .

Watched 'Fury' properly for the first time.
Time before was on a 8" aeroplane screen with the crappy earphones in.
    Brilliant film, Hacksaw Ridge next!

Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers All great films.
Have you watched the old 'World at War' series narrated by Laurence Olivier ?
Well worth watching, for my money the best war documentation ever made.

20170218_210022.jpg Not a film but a show. I went to see Billy Connolly last night. His still very funny but he looks shook . Excuse the pun but he has parkinsons . He shuffled on and stood in front of a stall that he had for emergencies. He had the same stance throughout the show. He had the same quick wit but with no movement. He went into detail about his illness with lines like . My hand shakes now but I was advised to put it in my pocket. But they forgot to say Jacket pocket. His still very funny but you miss the bouncing around and singing he used to do. But you have to give him 10 out of 10 for still preforming. He must be getting on now too. Fair play to him .

I remember seeing him on telly in his early days, absolutely brilliant, always had you in stitches, good actor as well.
I have heard his shows were brilliant and for whatever reason I have never seen him live.

Going off on a bit of a tangent, the Batley Variety Club built and run by Jimmy Corrigan used to be a fantastic venue back in the 60s, 70s and 80s for live entertainment, some great stars appeared there, Louis Armstrong, Shirley Bassey etc.
There is a good documentary on YouTube about the place.

The Darjeeling limited. Wes Anderson film, not as good as Grand Budapest Hotel, but still interestinging a quirky fashion. Bit of an acquired taste, not for all.

Good film . Worth a watch. The story line is he is a Body Guard but he has a drink problem . In mexico there's loads of Child abduction for Ransom . He is offered a job through a friend to look after a little girl. And you can guess what happens. Well worth Watching .
