Thruxton Thruxton R Paint Job

Saw this on ebay this morning. What do you think ? bit OTT for me. Think the second one a little more subtle ? anyone thinking of changing colour ?

Out of the 2, I prefer the 2nd, but better still is the standard Silver Ice

 

Dealers seem to be changing the colours already, ours has a british racing green one, must remember to get some pictures, its tasty.

 

Is it an r or just a Thruxton ? I thought they came in green

 

No its an R. The boss also kept the demo and sprayed it gloss black.

 

Both lovely bikes but id chose the first one - after removing the front nose cone.

 

I have to say, I do struggle with the look of a fairing on one round light

 

Here are the two R,s in our dealership, the green one is £ 14500.00 and looks the business.

...it'd be easy enough for a dealer to be swapping coloured parts from Thruxton's to R's and visa versa to get better colours......or do you know for sure they have been re-sprayed?

....just a Thruxton?, just a Thruxton?,.....what d'ya mean I'm too sensitive and defencesive.....at the very least it is 'The Thruxton'............................LOL.....

 

Yes they were resprayed by art attack, a local company but good at what they do.

 

That's the same dealer that's doing mine...if you think that's OTT wait until March 1st ;-)

Do not like those quilted seats, too much like a granny seat. If I was customising the paint job I'd have something that at least goes with those garish orange Ohlins.
