ABS bleed needs Diagnostic set.

    Was reading about bleeding the brake system today, and to do this correctly you need to open and close solenoid. If I was to invest in a little laptop and download " tune ecu" (is that the name) then can I do this through that system? And so avoid Dealer.

    Tuneecu is well worth getting anyhow, not sure about the abs solenoid being accessible via this program but I suspect it would be, as I haven't had an abs fitted Triumph. But when I had 2000 model sprint it had all the necessary application to test and set the various sensors etc.
    It plugs in all the settings etc according to the map for model plugged in.

    Last time I checked TuneECU didn't access the ABS module :(, I would suggest you contact them and ask. The more of us that request the feature the more likely they are to add that functionality to the software.:)

    Apparently Dealertool will do the abs job, but it's not free.

    they have a section on their sites for ABS Sprint and Tiger so looks good, will post a thread to see if any one can recommend,cheers

    Updated TuneECU (Android phone version) yesterday and it said it now can do ABS bleed
