Well I got as I said before a Drift Stealth 2 camera along with the remote control. Also I got an optimate 4 with the BMW ( Hella) plug so that I can plug it in via the power socket. The alarm seems to drain the battery a reasonable amount as I'm not riding every day so will plug it in a couple of times a week just to keep the battery in tip top shape. So I feel that I did quite well
Scottoil and nibs, exhaust gaskets and bolts (down pipes), oil filter and oil filter tool, o rings, engine oil, c-spanner for rear hub. 2 calling birds
I got a hygrometer for checking batteries; a laser thermometer; a really nice Black & Decker light cordless drill. On top of that the latest Stones blues album (excellent stuff), T-shirts various, a book on Elon Musk, DVD's various; Amazon gift vouchers; bottles of hooch various; a biker plaque; a "Gentleman's companion'; socks various; Aussie playing cards and calendar and so on and so on on................. Good haul this year
Only biker related gift was a pair of waterproof socks, cos my motocross boots aren't.! Rest was archery related and a new pair of Scarpa walking boots.
Got a crud catcher for the front of the engine. A couple of tee shirts and some booze. Oh yes! and a helicopter.........................made by Corgi not Robinson, unfortunately
The lovely Mrs V got me a set of TEC gear / brake foot controls, and very nice they look too. Off work for a week, so a nice excuse to get into the garage !!... (Merry Crimbo)
Couple of old replica Triumph t shirts ( old type pre Hinckley Triumph logo but she wouldnt know that). Pair of jim jams, lol, mrs reckons I need em now. We dont spend much these days Bought the bike a couple of tools I needed to lower the back end by rotating the eccentric adjusters. The real present is when I do the job next week or when my back and leg is a little better
Currently No. 23 in Scotland, so watch yer self Got my Scarpa boots from German site, Alpine Trek, £90 instead of £180!!!! Seem to be decent enough, time will tell.
Went R-Evo GTX. Got a pair of Grisport Hunters for really bad conditions, so wanted lighter for just walking the dog up the woods. Plus they have a bit of Orange suede on them, and I am a bit of a tart Wore Merrel for years, but they just don't seam the same quality of boot as you got before everybody started wearing them. They probably stopped making as good, now they don't compete as with the likes of Scarpa, Meindl , etc and just sell to the masses.
I got some new Triumph retro short gloves (only know this cos I picked them), Guy Martin worms to catch book, and not sure what else because there waiting for me under the tree at home. being offshore for xmas and new year sucks ;-(
Treated my bike to some Tec adjustable rears and progressive springs upfront- hope to get the bike lowered while im off
there was one of our American "members" who joined recently whose web site sold all sorts for Archery, cant remember who he was but i guess looking through who joined recently you will recognize him,his name will probably be Archie Stuff or similar
Just two black T's one with triumph Bonneville logo the other a generic bike decal - non HD which amazed me!
Well, Santa's little helper came good for me, with a bit of pointing in the right direction pre Christmas. Sitting here now drinking from a triumph branded mug To the stuff that needs fitting, a chrome cover for my clutch arm, a gipro ds gear indicator, tank pads and a booster plug. So got January\February to fit it all ready for March. The booster plug is an interesting one as bike even after tweaking idle speed, can still be flakey pulling away at standstill this plug might cure that once and for all
