Saw some stupid sod this morning, right arm out on a wet road, straight across in front of a line of cars, no looking, and right round 90 degrees on a round-a-bout!
Bloody stupid, I'd have got off and crossed by pushing the button, but that's 'giving in' to us motorists!
Don't get me wrong, I'm a cyclist too, but my bike has a turbo trainer clamped firmly to the back wheel!

    Horses, dont get me started!!!
Should be in a fuckin field NOT on any road, country or other wise!
Why are they allowed to crap all over the road and pavement too?
If my dog did that and I didn't clear it up I'd get fined £80! (and rightly so!!)
They make good dog food after an accident though, my dog's just eaten yesterdays 3.30 faller at Kempton!

My sister-in-law had some, Palomino's, I used to ride a little, my Mrs did a bit more, lovely horses but I could never trust anything that moves without brakes and handle bars!
Hers were some sort of special ones that won lots of prizes for Gymkana events, and often featured in Horse & Hound and even got on the front page once!
She had them upto a few years ago, but would NEVER let any one ride them out side of a field, never ever on a road!
    It can be done!
I used to totally piss her off by saying, 'I love horses, but could never eat a whole one!

Push bikes should have number plates tax and insurance if they are using roads just like all other road users :)

Cyclists want the highway code changed to suit them

Cyclists want the highway code changed so cyclists overtaking on the inside of a vehicle have priority over cars turning left. Imagine this, a lorry turning left has to give way to a cyclist coming up on their inside and are responsible if the cyclist connects with them!
Absolute barmy do gooder tree hugging day-glo mongs want all the rules changed to suit them. To be safer, all they have to do is abide by the proven rules that already exist, dont undertake a vehicle, if it is turning left, they have priority. Plus, dont jump red lights, and if you do stay forth e change dont push in front of motorcyclists at the lights and then get angry when we overtake you off the line.

"Motorists should always have to give way to cyclists when turning at a junction, says British Cycling"
Duncan Buchanan of the Road Haulage Association sums it up nicely "It is doing exactly the opposite of what we hope which is to ensure the safety of road users"

Years ago I got knocked off my bike by a lorry turning left (he didn't indicate).
I was told in no uncertain terms by the police and the insurance company that it was : "my own stupid fault!"
    This is just b*ll*cks!

Keen cyclist here. Take cars off the road is the answer. Make them take the bus or train and leave the roads to two wheelers. All sorted then.

Yeah saw that. I've kicked a fair few car doors in my time when cycling through central-ish London.

All us train drivers are safe.....I drove trains round south London Driver Only Operated (DOO) for over 10 years...Apart from seeing mugging, Fighting, one rape & countless number of lap tops disappearing down the platforms with their new owner...It was safe as you could get.

Well there's no doubt in my mind that Grayling is a muppet, after all he is a politician, therefore a lying tw4t. Also if you go cycling through such a narrow gap you are asking for trouble. Both got what they deserve. The cyclist got hurt and Grayling will get bad publicity.

Cyclists filter, motorcyclists filter, motorists should 'think bike' before opening car doors either side. With all due respect I don't think filterers of either variety deserve to be fuck3d up by inconsiderate thoughtless car users.

But they don't "think bike". That's why if you go filtering through gaps at speed you are asking for trouble. The smaller the gap the lower the speed, even down to slow slow almost stop. I really shudder sometimes when I see bikes filtering at what I consider to be far too fast.
