Evening All. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I took delivery of my Silver Thruxton R last Saturday. Yes I know who is crazy enough to take delivery of a new bike the weekend before Xmas.

I live in Surrey and look forward to meeting up with other Triumph owners when Im out and about.

This is my 4th Triumph having previously owned a Speed Triple, Tiger 800 and Daytona 675. My last bike was a Ducati Scrambler which I only owned for a year. It was a fun bike but had bone crunching suspension. No good for anything over about 100 miles. I've been riding since I was 17 for over 30 years and never owned my first car till I was 42. I'm hoping this one will be a keeper.

Welcome in and what a gorgeous bike, I'd get one but they don't make em in blue. Please look at some threads concerning throttle bodies, suspension and clearances on discs there seem to be problems with some new bikes, hate to put a downer on it but forewarned is forearmed!! Anyhooo! Surreys a good place for cafe runs and being from there myself hope to see you out n about. Where abouts in Surrey?

Thanks Crispey. I have been reading various forums and asked the dealer about issues that Ive seen. he reassured me that my bike will be ok. If I have any issues it will go straight back. I'm in Epsom and pop into Box Hill occasionally but usually head down to Loomies or Alton Station. Sometimes if I fancy an early Sunday breakfast I head down to the South coast stopping at Bury Hill on the way.

Thanks MickEng. Yes I dont think any manufacturer is matching Triumph for build quality. The Thruxton R is a work of art. And I have to say the service i've received from Carl Rosners for all of my Triumphs has been outstanding.

Yes, crispey and me often meet at Loomies but I'm happy with Whiteways, Newlands, Alton etc.
    Hope to see you around.

Thanks everybody for the welcome. Hope to meet up with some of you soon. Maybe in the spring when it warms up a bit. I'll have it run in by then. Happy Christmas to you all.
