well going to pick bike up on sat so thought best sort insurance out all fine until i hit security question .type of factory imobiliser fitted then give a list of triumph then a list of letters . dealers are closed so cant ask there so any body know type for 2015 triple r cheers mal
2015 model should have a factory fitted immobiliser (only), can tell by the key which is fatter than older models because it has a chip in it. But insurance companies tend to get confused with the Triumph Datatool accessory that can also be fitted.
yes it said on triumph speck sheet key chip immobiliser fitted but not actual model or number will give triumph a bell tomorrow then phone insurance dont you just know it will be a faf cheers lads for your input
Don't hold your breath.... Very much doubt there is a model or number, it's just part of the bike, same as most high end bikes and just about every car these days. As I say had this problem myself, insurance companies get very confused, they don't seem to be able to understand that a bike comes with in-built security. They always try to put down the Datatool alarm as being fitted which is obviously incorrect.

If you really want to baffle your insurance broker it's item 41 (mounted on rear of air box) So you don't want to break one of those then!
