MickEng and Red.As I said previously I dont get why the lights should be on anyway. Are all new bikes like that?? Can you change a setting to knock them off for starting purposes,seems daft to me coz you need all you can get for cold starts.
It's nanny state safety, like having to pull the clutch in to start, in case it's in gear and jumps forwards and you can't pull off with the side stand down in case you crash. Soon there'll be a sensor not allowing you on your bike unless you've got a hi viz and a clean pair of y fronts on
I agree, it's also why we have traction control,ABS, stability control, quick shifters and that's only Motorcycle's, for cars it's a much longer list!!!
