I spoke to Triumph today as I found their number on translogic quickshifter website . So the parts guy tells me they withdrawn the translogic quickshifter for my model 2011 speed triple because it's not suitable as they experienced gearbox damages. However the 2014 model onwards works perfectly fine. Translogic is telling me there is no such thing and it will work perfectly fine.

Can someone please kindly tell me if any of you have heard such claims . I don't want to spend 400 pounds to find out things the hard way. My riding will be purely road riding .

Thank you all for your support .

Speed triples don't like Q/S. There gearboxes are a bit like an old tractor lol

Nothing specific to our bikes, but I've heard a few comments that quickshifters can wear out a box more quickly, particularly if not set up correctly.
Only time I've used one is when I had a BMW 1000XR for a few days, was ok, but left me feeling a quickshifter's not at the top of my wish list. (my Speedy's manual box is way more slick than the several BMW's I've tried)

The translogic quickshifter is a self learning system. It takes into account of the load you are putting on the lever and the rpms you are at.....and then it constantly adjust the kill time based on its learning . Whereas other qs had a fixed kill times for each gear n RPM ranges.

This is what I've read, only time would tell how much of this claim is true o_O

The "tractors";) are getting pretty slick in recent years (IMO), noticed Triumph boxes slowly improving over the years, my current Speedy is best box I've ridden. ZX6 was ok, BMW's very agricultural, and my Multistrada was full of neutrals.

Must agree that when warm my ST3 box is the best i have come across from Triumph so far, as an old fart i just prefer to do my own Q/Shifting :)

When asked if I wanted a quickshifter on my Speedy I asked why would I want one their answer was well if you're planning to do track days they are great, my answer, I'm not spending to spend 11.5 grand to stick it on the track. Their answer well they're not really necessary for road riding in the real world.

    ^^

No arguments from me on that front needing QS for road. I had a Healtech on my previous bike and it was fun :). It doesn't benefit road riding in any ways. Its purely a fun factor than anything else. I will only opt for it if I can get solid evidence this Translogic QS is an intelligent unit and will not reduce the life on my loving S3 gearbox. So lets see what Trans going to come back and tell me.

    From the website:

    Facts & data
    [IMG]
Translogic Systems Ltd has developed the most advanced 'SMART' Quickshifter systems available and exclusively developed the unique Intellishift with adaptive shift technology, the most important aspect of a great Quickshifter system, without this exclusive state of the art quickshifter feature the quickshift will not be good enough at mid to lower RPMs, the result will be snatchy gear shifts with all other systems unless you are higher up in the engines rev range. There are many actions carried out during the Intellishift function, too many to mention and that's what separates Translogic quick shifter systems from all others. Here's an independent product review of our Intellishift quickshifter system demonstrating the superior quality of our design and quickshifter functionality

I would doubt any company can guarantee to not cause damage with an aftermarket performance part, many of the high end car tuning companies will offer a separate warranty to cover damage done when fitting these parts but i know of none with motorcycle tuning/performance parts. Manufactures will one day soon offer MotoGP gearbox seamless tech to the street rider but for me i think powershifting at high revs and clutchless short shifting is for me a wonderful part of normal everyday riding :)

Triumph called me back today :)

They were sorry for the incorrect information given to me . Apparently the translogic qs is better than using the clutch as it's got a secondary ecu that carefully cuts the necessary coils based on the load n RPM !!!!. And it's very nicely fine tuned setup. I was surprised with their recommendation. I guess it's all good. I shall proceed with the order soon :)

Hi, keep us updated please this is something I would like on my 94R , is the qs a straight bolt on plug and play? Will it need a bazzaz or fuel module to run along side it?? Gary

The Translogic quickshifter is a stand alone unit. Apparently it is a plug and play n works straight out of the box. I will try take pics n keep you all updated :)

I'm looking forward to your review, I've thought about one for my 2013 Speed as the 'shift assist' on my 2015 BMW S1000RR is brilliant, up and down the box auto blipper etc... but the 'box on the Speed is brilliant to be fair

So far....I've connected the coils and routed them to the rear. Having a little confusion with the strain gauge mounting . Have already fired the question to translogic tonight . Might hear from them tomorrow. Keep ya all posted ;-) 20161126_215852.jpg
