Hi guys. I have a weird noise coming from somewhere between the engine or the front wheel of the bike. It's very hard to pinpoint exactly where it comes from as I need to be running in first gear to hear it. Before a 190 miles ride last week end I checked if the bike behaved correctly, and went on my way, thinking it might have been the rain or whatever. The bike behaved absolutely fine for the full day. But it's still here. I can only hear it when riding in first gear (probably because faster the bike noise covers it), and at at first gear moving with clutch only it has an occurence of 1 to 2 times per second. It's a low pitch noise. Almost would sound like a weird braking sound but I hear it without braking. And it does not seem to come from holding the clutch mid course as I still hear it when releasing the handle. If anyone got any ideas... In a second time, if anyone has any honest mechanic to advise me to see in Glasgow, I'm all ears. I'm a mechanic idiot, and I don't take pride in fixing my bike myself, other will do it 10 times better, and safer for me in the end.
hi Samuel, you say it happens when clutch is pulled in as well as when not? when you say you hear it without braking, do you hear it when braking as well? if not when braking try to lift front wheel off the ground and spin it, it could be brake slightly binding, I think you have a floating disc so see if it is moving, wiggle it and check the rivet type things are loose
Thank you very much guys. I will re read that tomorrow morning and have a look at it properly based on your suggestions.
