Looking at the pictures, I might strip and lube all my fixings over the winter. If it's going to be a problem I might as well have it in bits over the winter. I might make a to do list for the winter . I'll replace as much as I can with stainless , I always like a stainless fixings. Andy
Just bought some stainless fixings from these guys and really good service. Mega quick delivery. Will use them again http://www.custom-fasteners.co.uk
Yeah your lot now you have seen my misgivings, I ended up cutting thread from some long stainless bolts put into plastic after drilling out and tapping 8 mm then metal paste onto threads also stainless nuts washers.Still only got brake light another day another dollar.
Does your side light at the front work OK? Is it just the back light that is out? I blew a fuse on mine whilst messing puting a relay in to switch the supply to my heated grips, the back light and side light stopped working but as far as I can remember everything else still worked OK. Andy
It's 03 America no sidelight just main front on dip and back light normal now everything OK but no back light only stop light same with different bulb mmm scratching my head
My 2011 america has a small side / pilot lamp inside the headlight, but obviously that doesn't mean that yours does. I'll have to look for a wiring diagram on the net and post again. Andy
A quick look at the online hand book suggests position 3 of the ignition key puts on the front and rear sidelights. Have you tried this and if so what happens. Sorry if yours doesn't have this I'm making a few assumptions. Andy
