Off to pick up my bike in a bit, just had fitted two new pirelli diablo rosso corsas and it's pissing down ! Ain't I the lucky one.
I liked the supercorsas on as standard but felt with the winter approaching some more road orientated tyres would be better so went for these. I've gone to Stourbridge Motorcycle Centre on the Stourbridge ring road. Didn't shop around as needed them asap as my front had blistered so just went for the first place I found. They seem very professional so far but think I would have got a better price had I shopped around.
I'll let you know how they got on with my bike. Looking at their website they look to have the best fitting machine and speaking to John from there he said they take around an hour to fit one tyre being very careful not to scratch the rims. Time will tell
Made it back in one piece . Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow and give you all some feedback back on how they perform
Had some tyres fitted at Wheelhouse Tyres in Water Orton a couple of weeks ago. Very pleased with the service.went first thing on Sat morning and ride in ride out in less than 40 mins. Fair price as well
Been out today on the new rubber . It was really cold this morning and still wet I had the bike in rain mode for the first couple of 30ish miles then into sport , had no problems from the tyres must say when they're warm and the roads are dry I couldn't tell the difference between these rosso corsas and the OE tyres . They felt good on damp corners too. Until I'm out on my own (no girlfriend on the back) and can give it some stick I'll reserve my final judgement on the tyres but happy so far
Also done a couple of miles on my new PR4's, can't tell any difference from the OE Pirelli's. Don't understand why people go for super sticky tyres, that are shot after 2000 miles.
PR4S are good tires for all weather riding conditions. And you will get a lot of miles out of them. It's really good for someone who puts a lot of mileage. I had them on my Gixxer for the Europe trip n after putting some 6000 miles they still looked the part. Those tires held well in the rain and off roading (don't ask ). Both bikes ran PR4s and no complaints; -) Now I'm running M7RRs. They will last me a while as I don't get the opportunity to put lots of miles.
