Mr Orange has started up a triumph forum sat nav group in https://www.myrouteapp.com/activities it would be great to get a good spread of members so we could share each others favourite routes we have 5 members at the moment but the more the merrier , it doesn't matter what make of sat nav you have If your interested give Mr O a shout and he will send you an invite
If you use iPhone you have to get a3rd party route planner like sygic to download your MyRoute-app routes to, this gives you the ability to create custom routes as apposed to the basic a to b route on from google or imap.
shoudn't be a problem, once you have made a route up on the myroute-app website anyone can copy it to thier own route collection if they want too
Just to let you know, once you copy someones route into your own collection, you can then edit the route yourself, ie change waypoints,or make the route longer or shorter to suit your needs
yes the "use route" button copys the route into your collection, once you click "use route" a box will come up asking what you want to call the route click ok if you want to keep the same name, then it is added to your collection
Done.... I normally use the google map nav on my phone. Don't have space anywhere on my bike to fit anything fancy like a garmin lol
As you seem to be the expert Ron, If i want to save a track that I have just made using the google map, what is the best file extension to use??
I think you mean, when you use the create route - save as GPX 1.1, thats what I use for the Garmin Zumo.
What sat nav are you using? for older Garmins i think its a GPX1.0 for newer Garmins its GPX1.1 for other makes i imagine it will be the same, although they seem to have one especially for a Tom Tom..PS If you are a gold member you can transfer your route straight to your sat nav without saving as any file ,(your route will still be saved in your route collection)
I'm a tight git and don't have a sat nav.... I use google maps on my phone with headphones.... I think the app will be handy to track and share any routes I go on. Will do some research tomorrow and see what I can come find out.
