I didn't realize this is an international event,it must make millions world wide a friend of mine who has over 500 "friends" on faceache, he raised over £1500 ...guess faceache is good for some things
i'm a member of various racing groups on facebook just to get the latest news and cool videos but as for the everyday mundane stuff that people put on it seems more of a female middle age thing and not so much the young ones..i think
Great day for the Bournemouth one - sunny for a start and no rain! On the Enfield as the XRx doesn't quite fit the bill old chap!
Facebook is a good way of keeping in touch with your biker mates. Create your own facebook page (ours is called the hungry bikers) and invite your mates to join as members, that way only they and no one else can see the posts - it becomes a closed group. You can then post ride details and all of them get the message at the same time and you can also chat with them via messenger. I posted that I would be riding down to Poole on the Bournemouth DGR facebook page to see if I could meet up with anyone else. One guy arranged to meet up with me along the way and brought his brother, so three of us got to ride down together, do the ride together and ended up taking a long route back home through the New Forest.
Good pics, I'd like to do it next year, I could only manage a donation this time. But I'd like to do the French one looking at their pictures ;-) https://www.facebook.com/GuillaumeBphotos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1784071511807982
Bloody typical! We're dapper old duffers riding oily old dogs while those frenchies are suave and sophisticated and get all the chic madamoiselles on their ride.
I'd be much happier supporting this (international) event if I knew where the money goes, who manages it, what the costs and expenses are etc. I'm just suspicious that way.
One guestion typed into google found this then I scrolled down to the bottom and the part of the question was answered! I take it you could contact them and request a copy of their annual accounts but they would be last years.
