    so where do I set the idle?

    It's pre determined as target idle in the software. To increase it you need to alter the tune.

    So for that I'd need to plug it in :( is there specific software for it?

    No, but only got it fixed after playing with TuneECU.

    I bought tune ecu and twice bought a laptop to use with it, both times I had to send laptop back ,and so never had a chance to play with it, yet.
    I did think about openning a thread on tunecu, how to ,pros, and cons ,etc, (best to wait till I can join in lol):p

    Once I got it connected I just clicked on stuff and found my way round lol
