Eh Up, I have a 16 Speedy S model. I live in the desert Southwest in the States and it does get exceptionally hot here even into the Fall. I like the idea of running a belly pan and see one is offered. I have not seen one fitted so hoping a fellow member might share thoughts on a few questions. Questions are - 1. Is it a true belly pan or just for show? By that I mean will it contain fluids in the event of a failure. 2. Is it easily removed for basic engine service i.e. oil and filter changes? 3. Heat is always a concern out in the desert (except at night) so thoughts on airflow with belly pan installed? I do appreciate any shared knowledge or even speculation on this. I can offer, in return, plenty of knowledge / information about riding here in Arizona (great in Winter) if you are contemplating a visit. CHEERS, Chris
I have one on mine. It a 3 piece kit really. 2 sides and a black bar at the front. No underside to it. When fitted looks great.
I wouldn't mind getting one but triumph is charging 175. Carbon is 160 but not sure if they supply the necessary brackets n screws.
I've not seen aftermarket for our year yet? The oem one is perfectly made and worth the price. My dealer offers 10% off parts with any service plan .. maybe ask for something off if you've just bought the bike
I spoke to Triumph World today and they quoted me £169.99 with all the brackets and fitting kit. I can have it by Friday. I am debating. It does look nice
My feeling are that one is needed.. sure it's cheaper through a dealer? Even if you just save postage
Darkman Darkman. ...somehow I knew you would say this ;-) PABS...I can them a little cheaper elsewhere but they don't come with necessary fixings. The belly pan is a bling thing but I feel it would complete the bottom part of the bike nicely . I am getting out of control here. I need to check my post to ensure Mrs doesn't see my credit card statement :-(
I have been bluffing my way all these years. I don't think I can keep up my bullshit for too long :-( I mean come on....1st I had to listen to my mum (even now), then I have to listen to my wife and now I have to listen to my 4 years old daughter. The other day I grabbed a chocolate and the little madam tells me....daddy you are not allowed chocs. The ladies in my life.....I love them all.....more than anything in this world . Go on Darkman...tell me what should I get out of this list.. Carbon hugger Carbon chain guard Carbon tank infill panels Or Bellypan
I recon all off them, when Conquest do the full set for a 16 Speed Triple R in matt carbon i will sell my carbon tank infills and front fender and go for a matt full set
BTW the carbon infills are a disgusting £400 a pair!! Unless you've found an alternative source for them?
I don't want my bike to be dripping with carbon. I bought the following : Front fender side bits in carbon Smoto rad n oil guards in black Carbon rad covers Black short pazzos with red dials 3 piston barend mirrors Carbon tank infill...came with the bike Carbon heel plates...came with the bike Black seat cowl...came with the bike I am not going to bother with belly pan as I like the aggressive look *still pondering*. I am thinkingb of getting Hugger n chain guard in carbon.current tyres 2ct has plenty of thread on them. Once I sell the m7rr pair (already on ebay), planning to get them again m7rr with 190/55 rear. All suggestions are welcome
Cheers mate I should receive them all sometime this week. Once I managed to fit them on.....then it's picture time
