I like the look and yeah at first sight I took it to be a R, wait until he doesn't sell it and then go back to him, like people have said there will be a few around in the coming weeks you might even find some ex PCP bikes at dealers which may come at the right cost to a cash buyer
Cheers matey But do you think the price is acceptable. Atleast I don't have to spend any money upgrading her.
It's probably around the money but if there are some ex PCP bikes around (they have to be serviced and looked after ) at dealers you will get at least some warranty. There was a piece a couple of weeks ago all about it in the motorcycle news with examples of costs on all makes of bikes. It may be still online if you go to their website
i understand your dilemma, when you've made up your mind you want a certain model of bike you just want to get one..well i do anyway! but there are plenty of speed triples about and if you don't get this one there will be others just as good.also it's 18 months since it's had a service and it's not that far away from the big 12k valve service, so if he gets that done i would say £5,800 would be a good price
Just had a look on flee bay and plenty of late 2011 bike at dealers in your price bracket if you are buying cash from them and would probably get it delivered as well.
Thank you all. I do really like this bike but I will take your advice and skip this deal. Dougie D - Good point on not being serviced in the last 18 months. I was all ready to get on the train tomorrow.
One other thing to keep in mind, some bikes are ABS and some are not, it does make a difference on price somewhat. So just make sure you are comparing apples with apples
One dealer offered it to me for £5,500 but it is completely standard. By the time I do all the upgrades, the bike will be at £6,500. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-S...301804?hash=item465165442c:g:WycAAOSwanRXhnKu Like you all said I just have to wait it out I guess. It is painful :-(
He has finally offered to let me have it for £5,700. The last service was done 4 months ago March 2016. So I am off to Plymouth tomorrow to pick up my Speed Triple. I am sooooo excited
Red thunder had his done at Steve Jordan's the other day, he seemed happy with them, maybe he'll give you the lowdown on them
If you go for a bike with a 3-1 low exhaust and want to swap, I have the high level arrows that you might prefer...? Mines a 2012.
Sure thing buddy. I'll give you a shout. If we do decide to swap, I think the 2012 should fit my 2011.
Good choice You've got the standard cans in the deal so it won't be a major problem to put some high level cans on. I'm sure someone on here might want that exhaust. I'm sure you'll enjoy it
Cheers matey My journey started 5am this morning. Just passing bristol on the train. Exciting times Once I pick her up I shall post some pictures
