Afternoon movie theatre almost full..... first time this year! OK it's almost Christmas, but they were also showing a decent thriller......

The Housemaid with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried having a lot of fun with the story, and as a little bonus for the boys, Sydney is never shy about showing off her curves!!

Edit: Sorry, that wasn't a very grown up review.....

From most of the reviews I've seen, I think Avatar: Fire and Ash could be one to miss - we re-watched the second movie recently, thinking it would be good to do that before seeing the new film..... it was pretty boring second time around!!

The new one sounds like 3 hours 15minutes of the same old same old.....

    yeah I know...
my daughter asked me to watch #2 with her, and I did, also slept through a few scenes... she wants to go see #3, since she does not ask me to do stuff with her very often I'll go, but 3 hrs in a cinema is giving me pause

A couple of nights ago we watched a movie called "Relay" that was recommended in our local newspaper. We really enjoyed it! Anyone else heard of it or watched it?

Yes we saw it at the cinema, and also thought it was very good. It's on the list to watch again now that it is streaming!

Song Sung Blue a must for Neil Diamond fans, a heart warming and heart breaking film that brought tears to my eyes.

Although this series was around some time ago, we started watching "Suits" at the strong recommendation of a friend and Steve and I are quite enjoying it! It took a few episodes to get hooked but now we do that thing where we look at each other and say, "Well, how about just one more episode before bed?" :joy::joy::joy:

Was the last film I watched
Couldn’t spot any green screen or CGI for the stunts throughout the film
Great Soundtrack and something different from the current run of the mill offerings.
However I was always waiting for something big to happen which it never did. The film just bowled along until its conclusion at the end and would definitely benefit from a second watching.
    BTW the cat was brilliant!

How To Make A Killing - reviewers are so busy comparing it to Alec Guinness' original, or looking for a deeper meaning, they sometimes forget that folk occasionally just want to get away from it all and watch a movie for a couple of hours.

It's OK..... and Glenn Powell is as charming as ever!!

Science fiction time. Project Hail Mary hit the spot for both of us.... yes, my wife enjoys a bit of sci-fi too!

It's not "take me to your leader" Star Wars/Star Trek sci-fi, rather a "what if" story, more Arrival/Interstellar/The Martian type of thing - the book is by the same author as The Martian.

Although it's a long one, some say too long, at just over 2.5 hours, we really didn't notice.

Just watched I Swear tonight. Brilliantly done and very moving. So funny in places but very hard hitting in others. Highly recommended
